I'm Scott Takacs, a software developer based in Hunterdon County, NJ. I graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Bucknell University and have been building production software ever since — professionally at my day job and independently through Scott Takacs LLC.
Background
My background spans full-stack web development, custom software systems, and AI implementation. I've built everything from invoicing and document management tools to lead generation platforms and workflow automation — software that solves real problems, not just demonstrates technical skill. I started this LLC because I saw a gap locally. A lot of small businesses in Hunterdon County are running on outdated websites, manual processes, and technology that isn't working as hard as they are. I want to change that — one business at a time, starting in my own backyard.

I grew up here on my families farm just outside of Califon, and I plan to stay here. That matters to me when I take on a client. I'm not a faceless agency or an offshore contractor — I'm a neighbor, and I'm available. When something needs attention, you can reach me. When it makes sense, I'll come to you. Supporting local businesses isn't just a selling point for me. It's the reason I built this practice the way I did.

How I Work
I keep projects simple, transparent, and on schedule. You'll know what's being built, why decisions are being made, and what to expect at every stage. No jargon, no surprises on the invoice, no disappearing after launch. I handle the technical side completely — you don't need to understand code to work with me. You just need to know what you want your business to do better.
Outside of work I'm into Hockey, Real Estate, AI and Reading. If you want to grab coffee and talk through an idea, that works for me too.
